2025 Faust Hawke's Bay Merlot

Wines by Faust is a nod to Goethe's Faust, the timeless tale of a man driven by pleasure, desire and temptation. That same spirit lives on here, with a wine made for those who appreciate depth, character and a touch of indulgence.

2025 marks the second Merlot released by Faust, this time sourced from a very well regarded vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels subregion of Hawke's Bay. Stylistically a much richer, more plush and concentrated wine than the previous vintage, with ripe blackberries, chocolate and plum. The soft, ripe tannins give the wine a dense, rich drinking experience. Serious, full bodied and age-worthy, this wine is fruit dominant yet complex.
