Cave de Labastide

Gaillac, France

Located in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, the Cave de Labastide was founded in 1949. Today it is the oldest cellar of the Gaillac appellation. It is made up of about a hundred cooperative winegrowers with a total footprint of around 1,000 hectares.

The aim is to produce honest wines from plots farmed organically, with minimal intervention in the winery and offered at democratic prices.

Les Bardets Blanc is a blend of local grape varieties, producing a wine that’s a lovely straw yellow colour. Aromas are citrusy and bright, with plenty of acidity and well balanced, fresh flavours on the palate.

Les Bardets Rouge is a blend of local varieties, Braucol, Duras, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Deep red in colour with aromas of ripe black fruit, it is well-rounded on the pallet, with an expressive, fruity character, soft tannins and ripe black fruit flavours.
