Tasting note
An intensely fragrant and juicy orange wine - super aromatic yet savoury - this co-fermented blend of Zibibbo and Riesling was fermented on its skins for 3 weeks. Musk, perfumed, floral on the nose. A light palate of juicy fresh apricots and white peaches. A dry, savoury finish with lingering acidity. This is an orange wine for the masses; clean, juicy, fragrant, textural and dry.

Vintage and viticulture
The fruit was sourced from an ACO certified organic grower in Riverland, South Australia. Soils are mostly sandy loam soils over clay. A mass selection of clones from both varieties, the season was very mild with just a few days over 40 degrees and relatively limited rainfall. Zibibbo is particularly disease resistant as a variety so plays well to organic viticulture.

Vinification
Approximately 57% Zibibbo (Muscat d’Alexandrie) and 43% Riesling was harvested together, destemmed and macerated in stainless steel tank for 20 days before being pressed back into tank to finish fermentation and maturation. After full malolactic fermentation the wine was transported to New Zealand where it was then racked off its fine yeast lees, blended and then bottled unfiltered and unfined (vegan).
